Internatioanl Banquet





International Banquet was hold at the and of the spring semester this year. It was my first time to go to banquet. In China, the banquet or party hold in the school is not popular. I think it was my first time to dress up! I prepared it for a long time! But it was worth it! It was a great experience for me to know about what the banquet actual like and some etiquette in the banquet. I am looking forwart the banquet next year!

Moon Cake

It is one of the most important festival in China. We will have a big dinner with the whole families. Because Mid-Auturm festival is in the full-moon day, so it means "get together" or "reunion" in China. And after the dinner, we will see the full moon together and eat "moon cake". This festival is in October, I cannot have the dinner with my families since I came to America. It was the second Mid-Auturm festival we celebrated in America. Although I could not stay with my families, I would not feel lonely.

It is another traditional and important festival in China. The date of chinese new year is in the lunar calendar just like the Moon festival. So it is in different date in every year. We will also have a big dinner with families. And parents and other married relative will give the young people lucky money with red paket. We celebrate the chinese new year in various custom in different area. Feb. 14, 2010 was the first time I celebrated the chinese new year in America. CSSA(Chinese Students Association) hold a big party in the New Year's Eve.

FALL BREAK! SIX FLAGS!

Oct 23, 2009 was my first fall break! It's so so so so nice!!!

In that day, I went to Dallas with my Chinese friends. I ate Shanghai Food for lunch. The food was so delicious! After lunch, we went to Six Flags over Texas. Because the Halloween was coming, Six Flags was decorated as a Halloween Party! I was so glad that I've been to there. We played a lot of roller coasters, such as TITAN! It is the highest roller coaster I have seen. All the games in Six Flags are very exciting and made me scared all the time. It was owesome fall break!!

FIRST TIME GO TO DALLAS

Sep 12th, 2009 was a very special day beacuse we went to Dallas to visited Joy. Joy is a teacher who came to China and taught us English for a month. We haven't meet her since April. We missed her very much. We eager to visit her since we came to U.S. In the morning, so we went to Dallas by Tim's car. After 3 hours, o finall arrived Joy's house. She has prepare a lot of food for us. We were hungry, so we ate food quickly. The food was cooked by Joy's husband. It was very delicious, After the lunch, we went shopping. After I came here, I haven't shopped anymore. The shopping mall is very big and things in there are very cheap. We have bought a lot of things. We were very satisfied and happy today. Thanks Joy and Tim brought us such a prefect day!!
